Bring on the bridesmaids!

Now that the wedding dress is chosen and ordered, it’s time to concentrate on your bridesmaid dresses.
You will need to find a style to best compliment your dress and the bridesmaids body shapes. You may have just one bridesmaid but many brides have five or six different shapes and different age groups to consider when choosing the perfect dresses.

Think about the time of year you will be having your wedding, summer weddings may be warm and therefore a soft light-weight fabric like chiffon or organza might be better suited, while winter weddings may need a satin or taffeta fabric teamed with jackets or stoles.
Finding  a colour to best suit all the bridesmaids complexions is a good idea, also the time of the year you are getting married will reflect on this, don’t choose a pale colour for fair haired, light complexions, as this will wash them out! Vibrant colours are very  fashionable  at the moment, adding  a splash of colour  to the ceremony, darker colours are slimming, don’t be afraid to add colour, it looks great on the photo’s!
Choosing the style is the tricky bit, if you have different age groups to consider, think about what will suit them all or go for different styles in the same colour, this works well and keeps everyone happy.
There is no written rule that says bridesmaids need to wear the same outfit, but it help if they complement each other.
There is plenty of choice for the little ones, usually cute, fluffy dresses suit this age group in more softer tones like ivory or white, where a simple ribbon or sash can be added to co-ordinate with the older ones.
